I was born again when I was thirteen years old, forty-three years ago… after I received Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior, I have been telling people who Jesus is, was, and is to come. I want them to have what I have, the experience of true joy deep in inside my heart, and that is Jesus Christ my Lord and my Savior, who can give the true peace in time of tribulation. The bible says in (Romans 5:1-5) "Therefore, being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who is given unto us."

Wherever I go, if I am able to speak to them, I tell them who my Jesus is… the bible said in (Romans 1:16) "For I am not ashamed of the Gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one who believeth, to the Jew first and also to the Greek."

The reason I want to become a NCAA Licensed Counselor, is my desire to help people especially women to overcome their problems, to find meaning and joy in life, and to become healthy and well-adjusted individuals, in there mentally, emotionally and spiritually, especially the women in jail. Personally, I am convinced that the Christian faith base proves to be a more powerful tool in counseling couples, family, individual, youth and children. A counselor who is secure with her Christian faith will communicate her theological security to the counselee. As such, qualifying Christian counselors will take the time and practice necessary to develop theological principles and methods that are easily applicable and integrate into one's life. It is also crucial for the counselors to have achieved satisfactory levels of application theological teachings for counseling.

As a Christian counselor I focuses on forgiveness of sin where healing is possible as the counselee's life challenges and misery, originated from Adam's sin, are forgiven. So, the counselee feel healed and lifted by the effects of the counseling sessions as the counselor directs the counselee to seek the forgiveness of God and allow Christ to bear the burden of issues. Forgiveness is possible as the counselor guides the counselee to seek (1) God and (2) develop a proper perspective on the suffering of one's life challenges. Jesus said in (Matthew 11: 28-30) "Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me, for I am meek and lowly in heart, and ye shall find rest unto your souls."

I started helping, given encouragement words, and teaching people about my Jesus, since I was a young woman. But it was getting stronger when I was about twenty six year old in Stuttgart, Germany. I was helping the church more and help the homebound ministry and outreach ministry. I did the translation in different languages for free; from Visayas and Tagalog to English, Visayas and Tagalog to German, English to German. I go to the hospital with them even in the delivery room and translated other languages, because most German doctors can’t speak English and my people do not speak German language.

I have notice that people are drawn to me and telling me there problems, personal problems, and also there married problems. For seventeen year of experience in dealing with people with there spiritual and emotional problems. I believe a human being is a living and vital whole. “Soul” therefore, refers to the whole person, including the body, but with particular focus on the inner world of thinking, feeling and willing. Caring for souls is caring for people in ways that not only acknowledge them as persons but also engage and address them in the deepest and most profoundly human aspects of their lives. These curative efforts can involve physical healing as well as spiritual healing, but the focus is always the total person, whole and holy.

I been a counselor for over four years in Fleming Baptist Church helping my other Christian sisters and brothers, teach them to know more about Jesus. Is not how old we are to determine to know our Lord Jesus Christ, is not how long you have been in church, is how is our faith in receiving Jesus Christ as our Lord, Master and Savior of our life.

The Bible is the source of all truth; (2 Timothy 3:16-17) "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness, that the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly equipped for all good works."

I believe as a Christian counselor, will use skills psychology and Christian counseling, and recognize that the Bible, not psychology, is the final authority. (2 Peter 1:3) "His divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him that hath called us to glory and virtue." A Christian counselor's major strategy is to help the clients substitute biblical truth for error as they go about their day-to-day lives. They know that the truth, when known, believed, and obeyed the Word of God, God will set people free. When people are set free, they are fulfilling their true calling. (John 8:32) "And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free."

(Hebrews 4:12) "For the Word of God is living and powerful and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."

I believe God Word is true:(Romans 5:3-5) "And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience; and patience, experience; and experience, hope; and hope maketh not ashamed, because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost who is given unto us."

(2 Corinthians 4:16-18) "For this cause we faint not, but though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day. For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory, while we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen. For the things which are seen are temporal, but the things which are not seen are eternal."

Shalom Counseling Place is base on the belief that my counselee's needs are of the utmost importance. I am committed to meeting those needs. As a result, a high percentage of my counselee is from referrals.
